Their eyes met in the mirror but Newt said nothing, didn't explain what had caused it to look like this.
“It’s just like you,” Thomas said, the words slipping out before he could stop them. Beautiful, he meant to say. “A puzzle,” he said instead.
Newt raised an eyebrow, confusion etched across his face. “A puzzle?”
“Yeah,” Thomas continued, trying to make sense of his own words. “Like it’s made up of so many pieces, each one reflecting just a tiny part of you. Only together do they make the whole picture.”
or: Dance of The Vampires is selected their school's annual Halloween play that year and when Teresa lands one of the leading roles, Thomas, of course, agrees to practice with her, but then everything turns out a little differently and suddenly he finds himself playing Sarah instead. They have to take down an old enemy in order to have peace, all while struggling to find what they need most in life.
