Summary
At the Hanseong athletic center, the war isn’t fought on simply the scoreboards. For years the figure skaters and the hockey team have shared the same sheet of ice— and hated every second of it. The skaters complain the hockey players destroy the surface. The hockey players insist the skaters monopolize the schedule. Between stolen practice slots, funding disputes, and endless management meetings, the rivalry has become less of a disagreement and more of a tradition.
When sudden budget cuts threaten both teams’ seasons, the fragile balance at Hanseong collapses overnight. Ice time is slashed. Travel funding disappears. Management demands “cooperation.” And somehow, the two captains are the ones expected to fix it.
Forced into meetings, shared negotiations, and increasingly unavoidable proximity, Seonghwa and Hongjoong begin to see sides of each other the rink politics never allowed: the exhaustion behind leadership, the quiet pressure of being the one everyone depends on, and the stubborn, relentless devotion they each carry for their teams.
Their teams come first.
Then something far more dangerous.
