Carrie is the lover of a previous Papa, Secondo. More rather, she was. She found out he was dead the morning after his monthly game night with Primo and Terzo. Later that week, she found out she was pregnant. What an unfortunate set of events for Carrie.
She stood by his glass coffin every night since he was put out for display. She just wanted to see him alive again. Just see his eyes open and hear his voice again.
Carrie constantly thinks, "Why must I do this alone? Why must I have his child while he lays dead in a coffin?" She doesn't receive an answer until one fateful night after she returns to the ministry after giving birth.
What is different about this night compared to every other for the last 9 months?

Will huffed a quiet laugh, looking up towards the arching ceiling above him. Hannibal had hopes for the both of them. That was the whole reason they were looking for him. Being left behind stung. Being left behind by a person, who posthumously made it very clear they would rather you were anywhere but away from their side and left anyway, felt like chewing glass.--

In my search of Ghost headcanons and fics I have found that a lot of them don't peer as far into the religious aspects/overtones taken on by the band and I wanted to write more so regarding that. Willing to take requests (I can write light nsfw, but full nsfw is something I am not fully comfortable with dabbling into at this point), I will write any of the Papas with any reader (AFAB, AMAB, Gen Neutral reader, etc.). New to AO3 writing but not fic writing in general, and I am just happy to finally be able to write something I would read and hope others would enjoy as well.
