Kage Zen'in had reincarnated - or at the very least had inherited the memories of someone else with uncanny knowledge of the future in the form of a rather fast paced Manga called 'Jujutsu Kaisen' - and all in all he'd say that it wasn't exactly treating him kindly. Though, perhaps the Ten Shadows was a fair trade for such an awful beginning to ones life? That was at least what he told himself... and the portable petting zoo he called a Technique.
And by the time he started puberty, he'd actually gotten back on his feet. Not fully, but enough to firmly set his new goal, to become 'The Strongest'.
Not the hardest challenge, the competition isn't fierce in 2005, but that title was still the standard he'd set in his mind, the realm of power from that battle in Shinjuku. He'd reach that peak, he'd master his Technique, he'd tame Mahoraga.
After all, what other thing than power could give meaning to ones life?

"Got Dropped in a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work" was a horror webnovel about a man being transported inside a popular (and deadly) creepy pasta wiki that he used to read for fun.
To reiterate, it was a WEBNOVEL. It's fiction, it's not real, it was a stupid thing I decided to spent my time on instead of sleeping! But it just also happened to be a horror genre where you can die brutally at any moment!
So why am I here!?!
Or, a character is added to GSGW and proceeds to be the most pathetic scaredy cat side character ever.

It's simple. The character dies and thanks to Fate's twisted nature, they are transported into some other world, where they either have to endure hardships or are handed things on their feet easily.
It all depends on Luck which is another twisted being.

Anddd Omen somehow ended up in his favorite webnovel isekai style. Wouldn't a try hard fan be overjoyed to be isekaied in their favorite piece of media? Normally he would agree.However the webnovel he got dropped into was "Got Dropped in a Ghost Story, Still Gotta Work". While he loves to read the novel it's a whole different thing to live through it!
It's not the horror that's terrifying... it's that he has to constantly fight to survive the story! Omen just wants to relax!

Summary
As a result of reading Okina Baba's So I'm A Spider, So What? I couldn't stop thinking about what I'd do in the main character's situation. It was fun, but also pretty distracting. In the end, I felt the only way to deal with it was to write it all down. To make a fanfic. Even though I have never written fanfiction before, and have a low opinion of self-inserts in particular.
I've put a lot of effort into avoiding the pitfalls, to ensure that this will be as interesting a read as it can be. No Mary Sues here.
So if, like me, you can't get enough of So I'm A Spider... maybe you'll enjoy the adventures of a sarcastic, pedantic Brit who has no idea how JRPGs work, trapped in a spider's body, in a labyrinth, in a world that runs on JRPG rules.
