The problem is — he tries to explain through gasped breaths after Hayden basically knocks down his door, shouting that they’re going to miss their flight — the thing is, Shane’s already woken up on November 16th. He’s already flown to Boston. He’s already been to practice, and he’s checked into the hotel, and he has lived this day before.
He doesn’t mention that he’s also already fucked Ilya Rozanov twice and had a fucking tuna melt that Rozanov made and drank the ginger ale that Rozanov bought specifically for him. He doesn’t mention that they’d snuggled on the couch watching TV like some kind of couple, like boyfriends.
He doesn’t mention that he fell asleep thinking about how Ilya — fuck, no, thinking about how Rozanov had called him sweetheart and Shane, and that, even now, he can’t quite get the cadence of Ilya’s voice out of his head.

Ну, он, в общем-то, этого заслуживает. «Исигами Сенку», — говорит он, поправляя куртку. Его рука всё ещё тёплая там, где его схватил Ген. «Я бы на десять миллиардов процентов не выжил, если бы меня сбила та машина, потому что она ехала слишком быстро, так что твои рефлексы ценятся».
«Мм, даже если мои книги не такие», — кокетливо отвечает Ген, поправляя шарф и приглаживая волосы. Он выглядит гораздо спокойнее. Он уже не такой бледный. Либо прилив эмоций быстро утих, либо он лучше контролирует себя, чем думал Сенку.
Сенку вздыхает. «Ладно, это было невежливо с моей стороны».
«И правда. Что ж, похоже, тебе понадобится присмотр, чтобы гулять одному ночью, дорогой Сенку. Могу я тебя куда-нибудь проводить?»
Боже, Тайджу просто взбесится, если Сенку откажется. Чуть не попал под машину, а потом отверг Асагири Ген? «Хорошо. Я направлялся на вокзал. Можешь проводить меня, если хочешь, маг»
6 тут происходит такой пиздец. Но… меня смешит, что стенли на своей подработке убийцы (надо же как-то оплачивать все, что хочет ксено) пошел убивать сенку, курил и слушал писню лилиан, которую она написала для бьякуи. У сенку травма до конца жизни 🤣
8 Ген тихонько напевает, его улыбка становится мягче. Руки все еще дрожат, но он прижимается к груди Сенку. «Знаешь… эта петля была адом. Мы гадали, что с нами случилось, что пыталось тебя убить, и выберемся ли мы когда-нибудь из этого». Его голос смягчается. «Но если мне и пришлось оказаться в ловушке бесконечного кошмара с кем-то, то я рад, что это был ты».
Сенку моргает, в горле сжимается. Слова даются с трудом — его речь всегда состояла из математики и фактов, а не чего-то столь расплывчатого, как чувства, — но что-то трескается у него в груди. «…Да. То же самое», — тихо признается он. «Если бы не петля, я бы вообще тебя не встретил».
«И я не могу из-за этого расстраиваться», — тихо говорит Ген.
«Я тоже нет, честно говоря», — бормочет Сенку и понимает, что говорит это совершенно серьёзно.
Телефон забыт на столе, когда он, на этот раз медленнее, притягивает Гена к себе. Нет ни нервного напряжения, ни отчаянной хватки. Только устойчивое, приземленное присутствие рядом человека, пережившего невозможное. Металлический привкус, оставленный инопланетянином, исчезает, уступая место теплу, едва уловимому запаху кожи от куртки Гена и мягкой, почти незаметной цветочной нотке, которая остается на нем.
Снаружи мир продолжает жить своей жизнью, не подозревая, что двое людей только что обменялись звездами. Внутри, тесно прижавшись друг к другу среди разбитого стекла и сломанного ноутбука, Сенку и Ген вдыхают самое редкое чувство — облегчение и хрупкое обещание чего-то, за что стоит бороться, помимо выживания
9 Сенку уже собирался ответить, когда телефон Гена громко завибрировал на тумбочке. Ген скривился, схватил телефон и, прищурившись, посмотрел на экран. Затем он так сильно фыркнул, что чуть не уронил его.
«Что?» — настороженно спрашивает Сенку.
Ген протягивает ему телефон. На экране сообщение от некоего Укё, текст которого написан заглавными буквами:
Укё: ГЕН. У ВАС НОВЫЕ ОТНОШЕНИЯ??? ТЫ УБЛЮДОК, ПОЭТОМУ ТЫ ВЧЕРА ПРОПУСТИЛ???
Сенку моргнул. «…Что?»
Ген уже хихикает, прокручивая страницу вверх, чтобы увидеть источник. Бьякуя Исигами опубликовал новую фотографию в своем подтвержденном аккаунте. Это улыбающееся селфи с Лилиан, стоящей в обсерватории рядом с огромным телескопом. Она смотрит на него с обожанием, в ее глазах ясно читается нежность. Рука Бьякуи обнимает ее, улыбка на его лице — непринужденная и теплая. Подпись гласит:
Любовь витает в воздухе — даже в космосе! 💫💖 Не позволяйте никому говорить вам, что наука и романтика несовместимы. Мой сын тоже нашел замечательную девушку — я так им горжусь!

“That’s tomorrow, Rozanov,” Hollander says, smirking like Ilya might be fucking with him and he wants to make sure he’s in on the joke. He looks behind and around him. “Um, can I come inside?”
“Hollander, we have game today. You were here yesterday.”
Hollander is striding toward his kitchen, looking over his shoulder at Ilya like he’s getting tired of the joke. “Very funny. I was in Montreal yesterday, Rozanov.”
“Hollander.” Ilya goes to stand in front of him. Hollander’s eyes flicker up and down his body the way that Ilya usually craves, but is rather unwelcome right now. “Today is Thursday. Game is today. Yesterday, you came to my house. We ate tuna melts, watched Buffalo game. Then, you left.”
“Rozanov, it’s Wednesday morning. And I’ve never been to your house before.”
“Hollander…”
“Look at your phone if you don’t believe me.”
Ilya snorts like a bull and pulls his phone out of his pocket, swipes down on the screen to look at the date.

The first time it happened was when Isagi was six. It was his first time playing against other kids in teams they”ve divided amongst themselves. Honestly, he doesn’t remember much from that match. All he knows is that they lost. He knows they must’ve had for sure.
They play another match and his team wins this time. He high fives the other boy on his team and calls him by name.
“Eh? How’d you know my name?”
“What do you mean? You told it to me after we lost the last match.”
“Huh? We obviously won just now”
He doesn’t remember much, but he remembers the look of confusion on the boy’s face as he gestured to the field they had just been playing upon.
Then the sound of the ice cream truck passed by the park and the other boy chose to forget Isagi’s own abnormality in favor of chasing ice cream.
For Isagi, he’d already heard the bells of the incoming ice cream man twice now. Once after he’d lost the match and second, after he’d won.
That was his first jump back in time.
