In their absent roaming, they had accidentally brushed past his pointed ears at some point. Roathe didn’t really jump, merely twitched a little at the sudden feeling past his ears. Though he guessed that they didn’t mean to wander like this, so he continued reading his book. The Drifter had felt the shifting in her lap; unusual, for how still he had been since they had laid down together.
She repeated the pattern she had done before. Perhaps there was a sensitive part of his scalp? Some point where the gentle scratching would feel exceptionally well? This needed further testing for her to prove her theory.
