Summary

Mike cuts him off, grabbing both of Will's arms in a near-bruising grip. Will is shorter than him, so he has to lean down a little to stare into his eyes. He hopes he's not crying. He can't tell anymore. Everythings too loud, he's too hungry to think straight.
"Thank you," Mike says hoarsely, fiercely. Making sure Will knows he means it. "I swear, I'll pay you back one day. I swear it."

It was a peaceful village that was ideal for anyone looking to get away. This was all true until it became the scene of terrible attacks. Some villagers said it must've been some beast, while others claimed it to be disease. The villages only solution was to hire a cleric from the north to investigate, but things turn very quickly.
