Capitano crouches down to peer at the underside of the bush, and is met with the blue eyes of an animal.

Pantalone wants to help for reasons both selfish and selfless, but Childe just wants to keep his head down and do what's expected of him.
Dottore really doesn't care. He's faced Gods before; the Tsaritsa is but a figure in the vacuum of power. But this time it's different; he has someone he cares about. And then that someone turns into someones, and he might have to actually try to bring them to a happy end.
