Marriage among the altmer is a...complicated matter. In a society that only demands the absolute best from it's people,marriage is little more than a means through which the Dominion can ensure high elf genetic superiority,securing their rightful position over less fortunate mer and,of course,the dregs of man. Large,city wide events where those whose genes are determined as desirable are brought before their brethren and paired with an equally superior match,all to ensure the next generation will only shine brighter than the last. One promising altmer mage finds himself standing at the pulpit being declared to his soon to be wife,and while she seems rather eager,there's only a cold pit in his stomach as his mind screams against this whole affair. He doesn't want this,doesn't want to start a family,especially with a girl he didn't even know! He's already on his way to becoming a thalmor wizard once he completes his studies! Isn't that enough?! Why does he HAVE to produce children when there's already thousands of others longing to do so without someone forcing their hand? Auri-El help him...
