The last person Robin Buckley expects to be helping her out with a sprained wrist and a black eye is Steve Harrington. And then again when she takes a nasty fall. And then again- okay, she's becoming a frequent flyer. Neither one of them anticipates the blooming friendship, but Robin is delighted by the gossip she missed in their shared hometown. Steve enjoys the company of someone who isn't reminding him of his trauma, new or old.
Aka four times Steve and Robin encounter each other in a Chicago ER and one time they hang out somewhere else.

He had been tired for years.
Ever since that fateful encounter with the Demogorgon, where his life was literally turned upside down (no pun intended) and he found out that monsters were real. Where he started his yearly tradition of getting the shit kicked out of him. Where he had to go home afterwards to an empty house where Barb had died in his goddamn pool.
