Honestly seems like it could be pretty true to canon too. S7 playing up the tension between them and the rivalry with EVERYTHING ELSE going on and then STILL not having them talk much will always bug me, so thanks for fixing that.

Buffy’s groan is slightly muffled as she shrugs into her sweater. “Enough about your boss, F. I’m not just gonna lay down and —”
