Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.

Summary
Fics & ficlets I’ve had running through my head and want to put out in the ether. Mostly Matt whump with a little silliness down the road (esp as I drift more into Avengers crossovers).
Mostly stand-alone, though others in the series can add context for character interactions as that builds. But think of it more as snapshots over time instead of a continuous narrative.
Current theory is that it's how I process my own sensitive senses and chronic pain. But I'm at the point I keep cycling these in my head, re-editing them, and it's becoming a problem for focus and sleep. I'm hoping that getting them out of my head will help me stop #@!&ing thinking about them finally.
I feel like I’ve read just about every DD fanfic on this site at this point, and I'm sometimes unsure if my ideas are actually original versus just an amalgamation of all I’ve read Frankensteined together. To that effect, if you notice something is super similar to something else you've read, then my brain probably looped it in to my own story, so please let me know in the comments so I can take a look to see if I remember it, then credit it under 'remix/inspired by' accordingly.

“Dean – I-I need-you.” His brother’s voice sounds small and strangled, and Dean immediately turns the handle and flies into the tiny room. He scans frantically for a threat, but finds only Sam, sitting on the floor against the bathtub curled in a ball. He’s gasping for breath, and Dean’s pulse starts racing at the sight.
“Sammy, what’s wrong?” He asks, already moving to Sam and trying to check him over. Sam doesn’t respond to the nickname but does flinch away, into an even tighter ball. He’s got his hands knotted in his hair, and Dean can see his hands shaking. “Sam, I need to see what’s hurting you.”
“Can’t-breathe,” Sam manages, as if Dean can’t tell that. “Panic-“

One, two, three more stitches out. Barely restrained screams from Sam. "I know. I know it hurts. I'm sorry, Sammy." Dean takes off his belt and puts it between Sam’s teeth, but it does little to muffle the agony.
Five, six, seven, and now it's full-on screaming. Dean really hopes there’s no one in the adjoining rooms, otherwise they’re going to be getting a visit from the cops soon. He makes it to ten stitches pulled before Sam’s sudden silence snaps him out of his reverie. It’s a mercy to the kid, honestly, to pass out, but then Dean looks up and sees Sam’s eyes roll all the way back in his head, and his heart nearly stops.
Immediately, Dean tries to put his focus on pushing down the memories.Series

After nearly getting Ashlyn killed with his "Mr. Durable" shtick the day she was dragged onto the roof by a phantom, Aiden Clark dwells on it more than he'd like to admit. So when Ashlyn and the others leave him with Tyler, he can't quell his worry. When he finally caves to his fear and tries going after them, all he manages to do is get Ashlyn injured again; and this time, it's much worse. Unfortunate circumstances leave only him to save Ashlyn's life, and it becomes impossible for him to hide his festering fear and guilt any longer.

Aiden's failing his classes, and his parents issue him an ultimatum; either he gets at least Cs in all his classes by the end of the grading period, or he loses his allowance. That is, the allowance that he and the others rely on for supplies--and right now, they really need gas for their next expedition with the jeep.Takes place in a sort of AU where Tyler did not die during their encounter with the centipede phantom, and Aiden did not die in the school building (they have not gone to the school yet.) As a result, their parents also do not know about the phantom realm yet and they're still trying to drive to Savannah.
