Summary
Nico di Angelo has had his heart broken, and believes he's not allowed to love again. He refuses to believe true love exists, and is trying to duck and dodge every opportunity for a chance at romance.
But when Percy strikes a deal with him, everything changes.
Suddenly Nico finds himself pulled to the mechanic that goes by the name of Leo Valdez.
At first it was a deal he was forced to stick with, but as time passes, he finds himself allured romantically.
The only problem is-
The flowers an anonymous sends him won't stop, and Nico has to choose between a petty crush, or someone expressingly willing to accept him in ways he had closed himself from.

Did he eat something weird? Maybe he shouldn't have gambled on those leftovers from yesterday still being good. He really doesn't want to have food poisoning. That should stay a once-in-a-lifetime event for him. -

“You don’t—you don’t have to do that,” he manages, stabbing his fingernails into his palm. “You don’t have to take care of me.”
“I know,” Yuuji tells him softly. “I don’t have to, but I want to. And I will if you ask. It’s no trouble, especially not if it’s you.”
Megumi breaks his arm on a mission while Shoko is away, leaving him benched and alone with his thoughts. Yuuji makes sure he isn't left to hurt by himself.

“I didn't tell you everything. About what happened when I was Sukuna's vessel.”
The name alone has Yuji bristling. The hairs on the back of his neck stand, scarred skin prickling from all the injuries he has that person, that curse to thank for. Memories of that battle are nothing more than fury-inducing to him. The visions of Megumi with dark ink on his body haunt his nightmares.
“What happened?” He channels the calmest tone he can utter, but he has always worn his heart on his sleeve. Yuji's grip tightens on Megumi's kneecaps. Something fiery and dangerous is boiling in his gut.
“Yuji.” Megumi responds, his tone a warning.
“Tell me what happened.” Yuji demands now.OR
Megumi never tells Yuji about the bath, the ritual that caused him to develop aquaphobia. When he nearly drowns during a mission his very serious fear and unhealthy tendencies are exposed.

“Oh, yeah?” Megumi asks, unable to resist the opportunity unfolding so perfectly before him. He leans in so his breath ghosts against the shell of Yuuji’s ear, letting his grin bleed fully into his voice with honeyed warmth. “Is he strong?”
“Yeah, very,” Yuuji snaps. “And he just went to the bathroom, so you–” The words cut off abruptly as recognition finally pierces the thick fog of alcohol; Megumi feels the precise instant it happens: the tension in Yuuji’s body shifts from being defensively rigid to something else – surprise laced with embarrassed heat and clear, flooding relief. He turns his head at last. “Megumi?”
