if it wasn’t the arcanum, it would’ve been the furious, mad way she insisted at every hour to scrub feverishly at her hands, the determined line to which her lips were chronically set, the harsh glare in her utterly unremarkable flat brown eyes. mesmer didn’t know for sure if those examples were borne from, or were existent without the arcanum. it didn’t really matter. she didn’t have to ask to know, for as true as her lineage, her nature, the immovable, immutable way the world worked, it was well known to all.
mesmer jr. was an ill child.
therefore, she supposed that was the reason why, when she’d begun hacking up full blooms, spattered with blood and spittle; she’d not been half surprised.

if dappling works often delve into heteronormativity in ever after, this work is a brilliant piece of work depicting amatonormativity in the kingdom, an intriguing, realistic story direction that further wins by its perfect understanding of the characters they use (raven queen is perfect in this piece, so's dexter, so's everyone else, so's apple's flawed worldview, and in a very concise runtime) and the general loveliness of the prose surrounding them. it's a great work, a fun one, a great one if you're looking for a general good time or a story about dexven or, alternatively, an excellent work on asexuality in a heteronormative amatonormative society.

After several awkward moments, Bart managed to say something.
"...say what now?"
"Frosty Chocolate Milkshakes! Remember?" Homer exclaimed, in disbelief that they didn't seem to get what he was talking about.
"We used to go out for them all the time! Why'd we ever stop?!" He questioned, his tone making it clear that this was a fate worse than death.
The others looked around at each other, murmuring cluelessly, and shrugging, no explanation coming to them.
"That's it! We're getting some right now! Come on everyone!" He rallied, waving them toward the front door, before running off into the technically living room.

ive said this in my last review but genuinely this, katara alone, and everything i am are the best fics that deal with katara’s future in a way that actually makes sense. this is a great fic dealing with politics in the post-atla fn, complete with wonderful characterization.

i didn't write a full note as i usually do bc i just love them idk i wanted all of u to see this it's such a good lesbian pairing i love them
here is the comment i left but altered so it just says what part of this fic is so great
i really do love wuwa: i understand how its characters and writing became the way they are rn. and it's a shame because there r so many potential avenues for rover, and i do love yangyang as she is, and [the author has] perfectly captured one of my fave interpretations/common tropes in stories with chosen ones who are suddenly thrust into lives of great importance and pressure: folding, hating it, detesting and resenting their roles, being depressed and feeling inferior. it's a great trope esp w rover and [the author] just captured the broken nature of her so well in this, and yangyang being a kind and soothing person for rover to rely on in the toughest period (coming to in a foreign world) is so wonderful.
a great work for one of my fave lesbian pairings im very happy this one is lesbian yangrover
