The thing about Legosi is that once he decides on whatever reckless, idiotic plan he’s devised, he will do it, and no force in the world could stop him. Louis has always preferred to think of it as stubbornness, rather than determination — as an inability to back down once he’s committed, even when backing down or at least altering course is the obvious choice. But it’s this same drive that means, after all the stammering and are you sures, after that final declaration, his grip tightens, and Louis realizes with both chills up his spine and heat in his abdomen that it is actually going to happen this time.
