Five years after the alternate events of the Battle of the Five Armies, Jacinda Took still listens to her cousin Bilbo's stories with wonder and the very Tookish desire to go on an adventure of her very own, meet some interesting people, and possibly once again meet with the handsome dwarf she had met years before. There are unexpected visitors at Bilbo's door, but this time instead of a burglar they need a bride for the new king under the mountain.

Summary
For the first time in Harry's life, his puppet strings had been cut, but Harry couldn’t remember how to act like a human being.
But he moved on, and he lived with a burden on his shoulders. He lived a good life, and he had good relationships.
He was happy, and his only regret came back to him every night in the form of a repetitive dream that he learnt to live with.
But one day, it wasn't a dream anymore, and Harry found himself back at Hogwarts. His wish had somehow came true, and Harry didn't really know if it was real or not.

“Balin made an announcement, stating that we had met when I passed through the shire,” their eyes met and Bilbo flushed, recognising the truth in the lie, “That we had fallen in love, and were Ones, and were waiting till the mountain was reclaimed to be joined together. A simple lie, that they all believed.”
“So what?” Bilbo began, irate, “You expect me to go along with this. To- to make a mockery of myself as I watch you pretend your head over heels for me, when it’s clear you think of me as nothing more than dirt on the bottom of your hideous boot.”
Thorin grimaced, turning away from Bilbo as if ashamed, “Yes.”

Arranged marriages are banned in Dwarvern culture- considered a slight on Mahal himself, but in the aftermath of dragon fire, trade is necessary if Erebor wishes to see spring, so when Bilbo Baggins arrives at the mountain, expecting a loveless political marriage, he's shocked when the king pretends to be deep in love with him, and begs Bilbo to play along with it. There's an even bigger problem though, Thorin Oakenshield hates him, and Bilbo hates him right back, so acting in love may turn out to be harder than he originally thought.

Summary
When Thorin encounters Bilbo at Bag End, he recognizes the young hobbit immediately the same hobbit he'd slept with years ago in Hobbiton, a violation of everything dwarf culture holds sacred. Thorin's guilt consumes him.
As he showers Bilbo with gifts and formal attention in an attempt to honor him, Bilbo interprets each gesture as an insult. Neither understands the other's customs.
