Chan reached forward again before the other could flinch away and this time, caught his chin in a strong grip. The omega struggled on instinct, though the effort was pitifully weak. His pulse thundered beneath Chan's fingertips, his eyes wide and breath shallow. He was utterly terrified. Chan tilted his head just enough to expose the side of the omega's neck and found confirmation of his suspicions.
A fading pack bite.
"So, you've been cast out."
Tears welled instantly in the omega's eyes, slowly drawing new trails down his dirty cheeks. Chan studied him in silence.
