Summary
Luka sighed as he dragged his Nokia down and still saw the same result —no bars. Luka fought the urge to chuck his shitty little phone into the miles and miles of empty Texas fields stretched out beyond them.
The two young players were:
A) Lost.
B) Without service to contact their national teams.
C) With a stupid car that broke down on the side of the road in Bumfuck Nowheresville, Texas.

What if the 2006 World Cup was hosted by the United States and NOT Germany? Well, Lionel Messi and Luka Modrić would get separated from their teams and be forced to embark on a frustrating journey to their base camps, and embark on a heartfelt journey to their true selves OBVIOUSLY.Bookmarked by AS24

Summary
Luka had his soulmark removed and now there’s only a fake name tattoo in its place.
“Look me in the eye,” Sergio repeats slowly. “And tell me you don’t have my name.”
“I don’t have your name, Sergio,” Luka says evenly. It’s true, after all.
He doesn’t have Sergio’s name. Not anymore.
COMPLETE.

Soulmate!AU where each mark and scar you get on your skin, your soulmate gets the same. Manu and Thomas are soulmates, but considering both of them are idiots in their own unique way, things won't go as unproblematic as one would hope it would.

Summary
Once upon a time, European naturalists received from skin traders a bird specimen with the most exquisite plumage, but without wings nor legs. They thought it was born in the heavens and took flight through miracles, that it lived off dews and will never touch the ground until the day it died. They named it the “bird-of-paradise.”
Turned out it was because local hunters thought the Europeans were only interested in the fancy feathers and hacked off the wings and legs when they taxidermied the dead bird.
