Summary
Macaque is killed by a possessed Wukong during the battle against the Lady Bone Demon. He wakes up in a world and time not his own, with a Wukong who has never met a Macaque. Now stuck in this different universe, Macaque has to navigate his way through all the strange differences and a Wukong who is far too fascinated with not being the only one of his kind.
Or-
I chew up then spit out LMK Macaque into the actual JTTW world. Not back in time before Wukong killed him but in the actual novel (sorta). Won’t be entirely accurate to JTTW but I wanted a fic where the LMK characters interact with their JTTW counterparts for a long time now.

Summary
If you had went up to Naberius Kalego and told him that he would be summoned to the human world by incompetent parents who wanted to sell him their son, Kalego would’ve either flung you across the room with Cerberus, yelled at you for wasting his time, or asked where you had gotten drugs strong enough to induce such thoughts because he wanted some. Life with Opera and the Chairdemon warranted some after all.
But now, with a rather petrified human fledgling in his room, Kalego wishes he had taken that made up warning seriously.

Summary
Naberius Kalego is enrolled into Babyls to serve as the guard dog. His headache of an uncle was as useful as a drunken dog on the best of days, so the elders had needed to send a fitting replacement. The plan was simple really, study and be left alone during his entire time there, graduate and then become an instructor. It was simple.
But it seems nothing was easy nor straightforward when it came down to him, especially not when it involved a strange white haired gargoyle that he- and his heart -simply found unable to ignore.

This entire fic is basically five chapters of Kalego slowly gaining feelings for our local gentle giant during their Babyls days. This is a prequel to ‘Priceless Exchanges’ and details Kalego and Balam’s relationship (hah, they wish) and how it came to be.
