Summary
When Luke was eight, he was taken from his home on Tatooine and delivered into the hands of the emperor and his right hand.
When Luke was sixteen, he overheard the emperor's plans to steal a tiny Force sensitive child and saves him first, before being caught and dragged back to his masters' keeping.
When Luke was eighteen, he finds that same child on Gideon's cruiser, and spares both him and his family, including a silver clad Mandalorian.
And when Luke was twenty-four, he is captured by the Rebellion (captured or did he just let it happen? Really up for debate) and secretly sent as a prisoner to Mandalore, where Mand'alor Din Djarin rebuilds his planet and raises his son.
And the rest was history. Or the beginning.

It took Jango a moment to process what the young man was saying, the soft husky almost musical voice drawing him in like a siren's song, but what the young man had said left him feeling rather confused. He didn't know that the Jetiise had a marriage rite and if they did why was it being offered? A quick glance at his father he saw he wasn't the only one.
"You Jedi mean to tell me you would offer one of your own to my son to make peace?" Jaster's voice was even but there was a hardness to it that even the Jedi seemed to pick up on as his father moved to stand beside him.
"Yes. It was not an easy decision for the council to reach and we considered the matter at great length."
In the aftermath of the near complete disaster that could have been the battle of Galidraan the conflict between the Mandalorians and Jedi has come to an end. What Mand'alor Mereel and his heir Jango didn't expect was the form in which the peace offering from the often times mysterious space monks would take.

However, Healer Che gently tells him that he should consider giving into his instincts instead, because giving birth to a child would satisfy his mating instincts for at least a decade. All Stewjoni Jedi are granted a rare exception to the Order’s ban on marriage and procreation, so having a child wouldn’t put Obi-Wan’s Jedi training in jeopardy. Desperate to subdue his mating instincts, Obi-Wan decides to take Healer Che’s advice. He lets the Force guide him and has an anonymous encounter with a handsome bounty hunter. Months later, Obi-Wan visits a memorial for a “deceased” prince and realizes he’s carrying the new heir to the Mandalorian throne.
