If you were to ask anyone what Brock Rumlow was like they’d tell you a variation of:
“He’s a cocky asshole.”
“Ego of a man who thinks he’s god…with the skill to unfortunately match that”
“A loyal soldier/agent.”
“Damn good commander.”
“Idiot…I mean that affectionately”- this one only really came from Stike Alpha and Delta, but still
“One of the best logicians Sheild has ever had to offer.”
Or most recently “Hydra scum”, “a traitor”, “A dickhead who lied to me for over a decade” (that one came from both Nat and Clint)
All of these Steve Rogers had also thought at one time or another…well until they’d brought him into the tower after the Fall of The Triskelion. -

So, he tried, he really did, not to be too curious on Bucky’s time in Hydra, especially considering he knew most of it was definitely things he would prefer to stay ignorant on, but…
