No, not completely in the dark. A light from the upstairs landing overlooking the staircase is on, illuminating his boyfriend sitting on the steps like an angel sent for the salvation of his soul.
Not a word is necessary.
Tyler moves forward, climbs up to his companion, and snuggles into his arms. They close around him in a firm grip to help hold him together and squeeze the words out of his body.
