Summary
In a world filled with people possessing amazing powers, people sometimes fall through the cracks. Those people can be dangerous, to themselves and to others. UA High School, a school for Heroes, came up with a solution to this problem. Every year, they will admit 10 potential risks to society and turn them into heroes.
Many people ask if this delinquent reformation program really works? During the history of the program only one or two of these hero hopefuls have made it to graduation each year, the rest either going to juvie or bowing out to live a life on quirk suppressants. This year, the HPCS (Hero Public Safety Commision) is putting pressure on UA to produce results, by having more than 50% of the students from 1-Z graduate their final year at UA.
People all over Japan wait with baited breath to see if UA’s Class Z will produce a group of functional heroes by the end of their three year time limit. -

Mira was 10 years old when his parents died, it was a month before his birthday. They died at the hand of a villain named “Jumping Jack O'Lantern”, whom was never caught. It was Mira’s 11th Birthday when he moved to Japan, to live with his godparents, Inko and Hisashi Midoriya. Even though Mira barely knew any Japanese when he moved, in six months, he could speak just as well as if he was born there.
At 12 years and 3 months, he was sent to a hospital by a boy named Katsuki Bakugou, simply because Mira was defending himself. Mira is thought to be quirkless, but the doctors have said that he might just have an invisible quirk, a quirk that might only appear in very specific circumstances.
There is something odd about Mira though. He learns much faster than any of the other kids, he can cut through people's lies as if he were a proper lie detector. He is very good with people, knowing how to make them happy, or how to make them absolutely terrified. Mira once thought that he had a quirk, but now thinks that that thought was just because he wanted to fit in.
Mira is now 13 years old, and it is a month before his birthday, the day that his parents died.
