Alastor rolled his eyes and left. He hated this. This was his senior year, their deal was that Alastor would stay with Rosie until he graduated and live by her rules -so she could be sure that he grew up to be a true gentleman like his mom would’ve wanted- and then he’d be free to move out and live by himself like however he wanted. He could’ve been free! He could’ve been free to go back to Virginia, where he spent most of his childhood because his parents had to elope and run away from Louisiana. He could’ve gone back to his old house that he knew Rosie didn’t sell, he could’ve rode around the neighborhood, looking for certain people.
He didn't know the one he was looking for would be right across the cafeteria in that afternoon, sitting with his new boyfriend and acting like he didn't know him at all...

Summary
At one point in his life, Alastor had been the person Vox looked up to most- and he still was, to a certain extent. Radio was where modern entertainment got its start, television and social media wouldn’t exist without it. Vox and Velvette both owed their brands to radio and, inadvertently, to Alastor. Radio may have become less popular over the years, but it would always have its place in history, and in Vox’s heart.
Vox and Alastor were meant to be in that way- the future and the past of entertainment were soulmates, it just made sense! That’s what Vox had said when he found out they were meant for each other.
Alastor, however, did not feel the same way. The moment they had met and they felt their bond click into place in their chests, Alastor had decided that he wanted nothing to do with Vox, and he never explained why.
Vox didn’t know what he had done wrong. They were supposed to be made for each other, two halves of the same whole, alpha and omega, all that cheesy stuff- so why did Alastor hate him? No, Alastor didn’t even hate Vox. He just… didn’t care.

Alastor gave an acknowledging hum. “I understand it’s your first time at an establishment like this, is it, Vox?”
“It is, yes.”
“And have you been in a dynamic like this with anyone before?”
“No…” Vincent trailed off, avoiding eye contact once again. He really didn’t like being the inexperienced one.
Alastor seemed to perceive his nerves increasing at this line of questioning, and his already kind and welcoming voice noticeably softened. “Can you try something for me, darling?”
Vincent's stress is getting to him, and he turns to a paid dominant to take the edge off. Alastor is exceptional at making him fall apart, though the effect soon begins to go both ways.
How do professional boundaries hold up when one partner is experiencing true acceptance of his asexuality for the first time, and the other has found the only person to ever make him feel good enough?
