He used a miracle to place the ring under his pillow, to make it seem at least a little bit planned, and then he just asked, and Crowley said yes, and they celebrated with certain bedroom activities, and that was that.

Crowley lost part of his senses when he fell from heaven. The boiling lakes of sulfur stripped him of his ability to sense, taste, and feel delicate sensations. The gentle flavor of a crepe with whipped cream and berries. The press of a lover's lips against his own. These are all lost to him.
Aziraphale thinks of a way around it with a little help of Madame Tracy's memories.

Season 2's 1941 scenes but our ineffables are WAMEN. Everything goes more or less as it does in the show until Furfur and the zombies leave, when Aziraphale decides to tell Crowley a little sooner about how she saved the demon from being found out and Crowley decides to show her gratitude.

Summary
The demon is mid-sip of his drink when that gives him pause. He swallows, then glances back to the bartender; or, where the bartender was. There's no longer anyone behind the counter, and the lights above the area have gone off.
"Oh, don't worry. He's busy, too."
There's a sharp pang of dread that fills Crowley as he looks back to the older man. That only came when other supernatural beings were nearby; specifically, occult beings. The older man smiles, and the majority of his teeth are missing. His skin seems to peel, and Crowley takes a second look at his drink —
— and notices a small vial, right next to it, that hadn't been there before. There's a golden cross etched into the glass.
OR; Crowley's drink is spiked with a micro dose of Holy Water.
