Summary
An alternate variation on another way the story may have changed, if David had apologized to Michael the night of the bonfire massacre. What if, rather than mutiny against Max, he simply tried to sweep Michael off his feet, convince him being a vampire wouldn't be such a bad thing?
In this one, Dwayne is more aware of the vibes between David and Michael than David is, to begin with. Specifically, Dwayne caught Michael yearning, right back, whereas David was a little clueless. David's devastated by the way Michael looked at him when he delivered the "But you must feed" speech, the more he thinks about it. Dwayne advises an apology, and asking him out. Showing him some of the perks of being a vampire. The non-violent ones. Just to give Michael a fuller picture.
David agrees. Michael says "yes," but whether or not he's fully aware it's a date is up in the air. David returns home, once again deflated, because HE HAS NOTHING TO WEAR! Michael has seen him look the same every time they've been together. But this is special. And he needs a new look. Makeover, courtesy of the guys.
