Summary

Summary
The "average person experiences 4 deadly situations a week" factoid is actually just a statistical error. The average person experiences 0 deadly situations a week. Harry Potter, who lives in the UK and sometimes experiences 5 deadly situations a day, is an outlier and should not have been counted.
Luckily for Harry, Severus Snape is rather good in a crisis.
