Summary
Jane's way of finding peace was to find things or places which grounded him. The ocean was one of them. His journey starts with a little flower interlude in San Felix (4x05) and travels across the Venezuelan Island (6x09) and the Blue Bird (6x22) and beyond.
It is a path starting from the roaring waves of Californian and Venezuelan shorelines and finally ending near the stillness of the pond in Austin. It is a story of Jane learning to heal from his wounds, until he finally finds true happiness.

In the darkness, Lisbon reached out, searching.
The cold bite of metal handcuffs startled her. And then she remembered where she was.
A hand beside her grabbed her wrist. Metal clinked.
"Is that you, Jane?" She couldn't see anything. Only breathing. Then arms—familiar, warm—wrapped around her.
"You can't keep me in here, Jane." Her voice trembled.
"It's safe here, Teresa. Don't worry." His voice sounded strange. But she could hear the smile in it. He thought he'd done it this time. "You're safe, Teresa. Don't leave here. Don't leave me. We'll stay here forever, okay?"

Jane woke from a dazed sleep. He had forgotten what day it was. All he remembered was opening that door. Seeing Lisbon. A blood-red smiling face staring back at him. His phone rang. A message appeared. Jane suddenly remembered what day it was.
Or: Something happened to Lisbon. In his devastation, Jane found himself thrown back in time. Things seemed different now. Did he have a chance to mend what was broken? To fix the mistakes and the relationship that went wrong?

Summary
This series chronicles Neal and Sara's journey into parenthood. It takes place following Neal's return from Cape Verde at the beginning of season 4. All events which took place in canon after that point in time are unaccounted for in this series. The premise of this series is that, even though Neal will always be the rascally impulsive conman we've come to know and love, there is one thing that might compel him to re-examine his priorities and rein in his impulses: fathering a child. And so, despite his checkered past, he commits to partner with Sara in order to parent the child he is ultimately responsible for bringing into the world.
