Summary
When a gun is fired, whether there is a bullet or not, a shockwave is released, which is near-fatal for anyone in extremely close range, like one Light Yagami, whose skull was fractured, and some pieces wound up in his brain, causing severe damage.
After waking up from a coma, Light finds that while he still can think like himself, he is confined to a wheelchair and all motor functions and sensory processing are extremely impaired. With his only hope being an experimental treatment for brain damage, he needs to learn how to adjust to the unexpected direction his life has taken. He finds support in L, who is doing everything in his power to help and helping to maintain Light's sense of self.
Meanwhile, Light's family makes a risky decision with the goal to end the Kira case for good, which could make everything Light had hoped to achieve come crashing down.

Summary
Everyone was lying to her, even if they didn't know it. The only exception was her brother, who lied with such deadly intention that it could only be described as a well-honed weapon. He did it casually, as if it took minimal effort to maintain a persona so delicately crafted that it fooled the entire world, but not her.
Sayu decided then and there that he was her favorite person, because they were cut from the same cloth, shaped by the same hands and were hiding the same kind of monster, split apart into two separate people so that it if one died, there was always the other, hiding beneath human flesh.
Yagami Sayu lives an average life with above average grades, she has things everybody else does: a serious father, a hardworking mother, friends she hangs out with on weekends, a feeling of boredom bordering on insanity. Then there's her brother, and Kira.

Vampires was such a filthy concept. The idea of leeching off another man from his secondary erogenous zone, deriving pleasure from so… why, it was enough to make any sane man’s skin crawl. Or at least it would him.

Traditionally, vampires have been used to present homophobia and queer sexual identity. Saying this, how differently would the events of death note could've gone if L was a vampire?

' Oh come on ryuzaki! just what do i have to do to show you i'm serious! ' Light said, L stared back at him in complete silence. He's wondering if he finally pushed kira-kun past his limits.
' you.. wish to court me. ' it wasn't phrased as a question, just L repeating back what Light said to him a few seconds ago. And light asks why he suspects this is a mere facade.
' yes. ' Light says with such seriousness it makes L gape at the delirious man that's infront of him.
Or: Light yagami tries to marry L in order to take his name and find out said name! but L isn't so sure about lights true commitment so he basically puts light through hell by bringing over his successors.
