Author's Note: Harry Potter is not mine (obviously) and the song is "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift. I'm imagining this song by someone else though. Just search up 'safe and sound male cover' on YouTube and you'll know which one I'm talking about. Set in Harry's sixth year.
I also wrote this years ago and it was originally posted on fanfiction.net. I have rewritten it a bit (or a lot). The original version is still there.

Summary
The residents of Hawkins aren’t as stupid as the government likes to think. They know bad things are happening. They’ve heard the howls in the night. They know they’re all in grave danger.
But a group of their own are trying to fix all that. They’re fighting on their own, every day, trying to keep their town safe from monsters and government liars.
The people of Hawkins are grateful. So to show them how grateful they are, they’ll do whatever they can to mislead the soldiers, hide the girl and get these kids the happy ending they deserve. Because after they saved the world for them, they damn well deserve it.
AKA, the people of Hawkins learn about the Upside Down. If the government won’t help them, well they’ll just have to help each other. Starting with the Party.

“Life lessons,” Bucky replied simply.
“He’s teaching me how to maim people!” Morgan cried.
Sam choked. “Bucky?”
“Well, I’m not gonna teach her to kill a person, am I?”
She frowned up at him. “You promised you would.”
“Shh,” he whispered. “Not in front of the narc.”
OR Post-Snap, Morgan runs a budget fight club at school and Bucky is recruited to teach her how to defend herself. He also petitions to feature on the now-cancelled game show "Wipeout", because he has nothing else to do with his time
