Genma landed in the spring of Drowned Panda, Ranma landed next to the spring of Drowned Girl. They went to the Amazon's for a possible cure, and that didn't go as planned. So Ranma ran off and returned to Jusenkyo.
Shiro Hibiki and her wife were used to finding a number of things when they return home. Spoiled foods, dust build up, a happy dog of black and white, and on occasion their son...but they weren't expecting a red haired girl that used to be a boy their son knew hiding from her biological father.

When Akane goes to Ryoga's house to meet the new puppies, she sees Ranma's already there, wearing a disguise. Ranma may have fooled Ryoga, but he won't fool Akane. She'll figure out what Ranma's game is, and expose him to Ryoga. That should teach him a lesson.
