Mike cleared his throat, “We found your hypersleep pod floating in the asteroid belt beyond Mars. It was pure luck, really. Who knows how long you would have drifted out there if we hadn’t come upon you.”
“Why was my pod there?” Robert asked. This wasn’t adding up. What happened to his ship and the rest of his crew?
“Well, records going back that far aren’t the greatest, but we found a lost ship report and a list of MIA personnel. Your name was on the list. Only scattered debris was ever found of your ship. The command at the time determined your vessel collided with an asteroid that was not supposed to be in your flight path. They thought all souls were lost,” Mike trailed off.
It took Robert several minutes to absorb this unbelievable information. Even then, it didn’t seem like reality. He turned to ask about the only thing that mattered, “Where’s William?”

“Reduce me to nothingness.” Aerion continued to say, gravely, voice now lower than he had ever heard it before. The power of his sensual rolls were now intensified, and it was impossible for Dunk to ignore what it did to him. “Until even my titles are wholly stripped of me, and I’m left with nothing but you and the touch of your sullied hands all over me.”
Truth be told, Dunk never stood a chance.
Or; Dunk wakes up in the middle of the night with Aerion looming over him, a dagger grazing his throat and a pair of wild eyes holding him prisoner.

(Dunk is tasked with a most difficult assignment - try and handle the crown prince before he sabotages his father further than he already has.)

Raymun Fossoway has a loud mouth and Dunk has always prided himself on being a good listener. Most of the time, the gossip and the extensive rants are more emotional expression than useful conversation, but Dunk lends his ear regardless. After all, he could benefit from some social lessons separate from Egg’s, especially when those lessons include his squire’s older brother.
The Targaryens have long been the bridge between the gods and man, tamers and riders and kin of dragons. Now, the dragons are gone, but their blood remains in the Targaryen line—some, only a few drops. In Aerion Targaryen, a beast lurks and cannot resist the word of its master.
Or,
Dunk hears a rumor that some of the Targaryens respond to High Valyrian commands much like the dragons did. He tests the theory on Aerion.
