“He publicly kissed you.” Max deadpanned.
“Just to help me out of a bind!”

“Mike apparently does”

“I know” he shut his eyes and rubbed his temples.

~~~~“Get off me” he struggled with the guard channeling a power he assumed was gone; his eyes rolled back in his head and the guard’s arm snapped in an unnatural way. Without stopping to think what this meant, he began sprinting towards his sister.
“EL, DON’T! WE CAN FIND ANOTHER WA-” The bullet struck him effectively throwing him to the ground. Tears welled in his eyes ‘I failed her again’ he thought. He reached his arm out one last time whispering her name “el...”
