It was quiet for less than thirty minutes before the sounds of the humans returned, this time an awkward scramble of many footsteps and nearly as many voices. They came into view only a moment later, and his eyes widened at the sight of the large blue tarp-thing hung between two poles being carried by more than a dozen humans, each straining under the obvious weight.
A massive caudal fin hung from one end of the tarp, but it had been so heavily wrapped in soaked towels to keep it from drying out that it was impossible to see in any real detail. It was also, Johnny noticed with sudden unease, completely, utterly limp.

There’s a person crouched in the trees above him.
Shaggy, short white hair drifts in lazy waves against porcelain pale skin, and the red marks that slash across his sharp cheekbones are punctuated by the impossibility of soft, fuzzy white and gray furred ears that adorn the sides of his face. His pupils- framed by white lashes that match his hair- are the same shade as the marks, as Madara’s still active sharingan that he's staring down without hesitation.
He's gorgeous, and Madara is absolutely, undoubtedly in love.
And he is also dripping lake water like a bedraggled house cat while pathetically gaping at the most beautiful person he’s ever seen.

“Flambae.” Robert’s eyes widen as he tries and fails to keep his voice from pitching with anxiety. He won’t beg over the group line, but it’s a close thing. “Flambae, I’m giving you an order. If you don’t wait for the others, I’m benching you.”
Robert can feel eyes on him; his coworkers must be turning at his audible distress, but he can only concern himself with the floor opening up beneath his shitty office chair and threatening to swallow him whole.
“Fuck you.” Flambae doubles down with real, tangible conviction.
When a red icon pops up alerting Robert that Flambae has turned his earpiece off, his ribs cave in on themselves. On screen, Flambae erupts and is gone in the blink of an eye.

Katsuki just entered his first heat and his parents decided that it would be for the best if he rode it out at a Heat House.
What they don't know is that this particular Heat House had made a deal with the local Rut House. They supply heat-hazy Omegas for their Alphas to use during their rut before sending them back, as if nothing had happened.
This Rut House is regularly used by the notorious Blood Riot, who had just entered his rut and chooses Katsuki this time around. Katsuki has no idea what's going on and Blood Riot thinks this will be like all the other times he uses the Rut House.
Neither expect to fall in love at the first knot.
