    Taehyung throws one leg over Jungkook’s lower half and lightly taps his back with his heel.

    “Can we please settle this before we sleep? I hate going to bed angry.”

    The pout is still painfully obvious in his voice.

    Jungkook doesn’t even need to look at him to know exactly what expression he’s making.

    “Tae…” His voice comes out muffled against the giant pillow. “Settle what? I already told you I have no idea what’s happening. Either spit it out, or I’m sleeping in my own room tonight. I need my beauty sleep. I’m already getting stress pimples on my chin.”

    Taehyung’s foot drifts lazily up and down Jungkook’s calf.

    “It’s physically impossible for you to become any prettier, so this ‘beauty sleep’ you think you need, is a complete waste on you.”

    Jungkook turns his head slightly, his messy hair obscuring most of Taehyung’s face. He says things like that so casually, as if he has no idea what those words do to Jungkook. As if casually dropping life-ruining compliments in the middle of sleepy conversations is completely normal.
