Till gave the paper a little shake. “C’mon, princess,” he teased, like his own words didn't have his heart racing. “Please and thank you — you really need me to teach you how to use your manners?”
A muscle jumped in Ivan’s jaw. His gaze flicked from the paper to Till’s grin, then to the floor. “...Thank you.”
“Thank youuuuu….?” he trailed off.
Ivan’s shoulders hiked up around his ears. Till didn't think he’d ever seen Ivan this embarrassed in his life. He was enjoying every second of it. He wished he could pull out his phone to take a picture — or fifty — without Ivan trying to kill him for it. “Thank you, Till.”
till hasn't seen ivan in over a decade, not since the older boy left for college and they drifted apart. now till's got the role as executive assistant to the ceo of anakt co., and till spends most of his waking hours up close and personal with an older, more serious, more perpetually exhausted version of ivan.
till doesn't give much of a shit about the job itself. ivan clearly won't take care of himself, so till will take care of him whether ivan likes it or not.
(ivan likes it. a lot.)

Summary
Before marriage, Danzo believed shinobi were disposable tools. Married Danzo, however, has a husband from another planet who keeps dropping foreign childcare journals onto his desk with increasingly alarming facts.
Apparently, children need affection. They need hugs. Extended touch deprivation can permanently affect brain development, leading to anxiety, depression, and a whole host of problems that result in subpar shinobi fighters. Deliberately raising emotionally broken children is not only monstrously cruel—it's also terribly inefficient and goes against his goals of a stronger Konoha.
And so, ROOT changes.
Officially, every reform is a calculated strategic decision designed to produce more stable, loyal, and effective shinobi. Unofficially, Root agents start smiling at him.
No one is more horrified by this development than Danzo himself. The kami he managed to trap into a marriage is pretty pleased with the outcome, unfortunately, but Danzo is too busy chopping up star-shaped carrot slices to argue.
