Collecting himself quickly, he tugged Nanako behind him as he stood, turned, and smiled at Satoru Gojo. “Yo, Satoru,” he said brightly. “It's been a long time.”
Satoru’s blue eyes were wide behind his round glasses, the glow of Limitless making them look unearthly bright. He dressed casually, with a button up shirt and a jacket slung over his shoulder. “Do you have kids?” he blurted. There were bags under his eyes, visible when he tilted his head. Despite the situation, Suguru was sorry to see how tired he looked.

Summary
In cases of adolescent alphas or omegas experiencing significant psychological distress, the body can enter a fight-or-flight stasis that may delay or, in severe cases, entirely prevent presentation. For omegas, especially, this can cause complications in the mid- to late-twenties, when the body experiences a second hormonal shift.
