Summary
Viserys died, as he always did; leaving all the responsibilities to his only son.
Now, Rhaenar had three sisters he had to take care of.
(What if Rhaenyra had been born a man while the Greens only had daughters?)

Summary
She followed his lead, got to her knees and lit a candle. Ran her fingers through the flame and let her shoulders slump.
She turned to him, mouth flat. “What will you pray for?”
He looked at her, hair darker than the flame, the bump of his nose small. He said nothing, but he never looked away. It was enough.
✹
The hate gets suffocating after a time, threatens to choke her between the silks of her bed and let the meat from her bones rot until she is unrecognizable. Hating the Queen has made Rhaenyra into a different person, more dragon than girl, her skin turning from satin to scales. Hating her half-brother has made her into a tyrant, willing to kill a babe if it meant the threat of disinheritance would disappear.
But hating the Queen’s brother, it has made her so much worse.

Summary
Edric thought, or rather, suspected, that he was, certainly, making a complete fool of himself. Mostly because the Hand's lovely daughter seemed to be making a tremendous effort not to laugh at him.

Summary
Few tales are so oft debated by scholars as that of Lady Hazel Potter, the witch who came from beyond the known world and found herself amidst the blood of Old Valyria. Stranger still was the affection she inspired in two brothers who could not have been more different. Prince Baelor, called the Hammer of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, loved her as he loved duty itself: steadfastly, quietly, and with a devotion that asked for nothing in return. His was a patient love, built in late-night conversations, shared burdens, and the certainty that her happiness mattered more to him than his own. Prince Maekar, called the Anvil, loved her as storms love the sea: fiercely, possessively, and without apology. Where Baelor sheltered her, Maekar stood ready to burn kingdoms for her. His affection was not gentle, but neither was it uncertain. Yet for all their differences, the brothers shared one truth. Both saw in Hazel Potter something rare: a woman who carried grief without surrendering to it, who had crossed worlds and remained herself. Thus the histories remember them—not as the Hammer and the Anvil alone, but as two princes whose hearts were forever altered by a witch from another world.
