Summary
When Kotallo lost his arm, it was more than just a limb that he had lost. It was his prowess with a bow. It was his utility as a Marshal. His arm was gone, his life a ruin, and nothing would ever be the same.
It did not occur to him that this could be a good thing.
It did not occur to him that he could find new purpose in his life. It did not occur to him that an outlander with hair like blood and a spirit as fierce as blazefire would help him find that purpose.
With Aloy as his witness, Kotallo would find himself again, and nothing would ever be the same.

In other words: a wish fulfillment fic where Aloy and Kotallo fall in love over the course of the game. Canon scenes and dialogue blended and padded out with introspection, cozy conversations, smut, and all the GAIA Gang bonding that we deserved. ❤Series

Summary
Avad had always been a dreamer. Even when the terrible events of his life proved time and time again that foolish fantasies couldn’t come true, it didn’t stop him from imagining a life that was different than the one he had — a life that was a little less… constrained.
It wasn’t until Aloy flew to him on a warm western wind that Avad realized that dreams could come true.
**********************
In other words: Aloy and Avad are in a long-distance relationship during the events of Horizon: Forbidden West. This fic is a direct sequel to Window Bird. ❤

Summary
This is a reference guide intended to help writers of Regency-era stories by providing a quick place to check whether a certain phrase was in use in the era, and if so, how it was used. The earliest attestation dates of phrases that postdate the Regency era might also make this guide useful to writers of neo-Victorian fiction.

Summary
The story of Tess: how she meets Joel and the years of survival beyond.
“So let’s do it,” Tess whispered fiercely.
“What?”
“Let’s just not die. You, me, Tommy. We’ll go all the way to the end, as far as we have to go. Fuck Cordyceps and fuck the future. Let’s just not fucking die.”
“Well, all right,” Joel agreed. “You’re the boss.”
It was absurd optimism, a ridiculous fight: don’t fucking die. But it was the biggest Fuck You she could muster against reality. She was not going to give in, no matter how bad it got. She’d seen people take the easy, quiet way out with their pills or bullets. She got it. She even envied them a little. That kind of quick death would never belong to her. She was too full of fight, too angry at the world.
“We’ll go as far as we have to,” Joel murmured.
