Summary
There was a memory of a lullaby, she had heard it from a girl in her class—if you wished upon a star, your dream would come true. The girl had a giggle stuck to the end of her sentence, an almost apology for believing in anything at all. Mira did not giggle. She breathed until the glass fogged again and whispered under her breath and pressed her lips to the place where the star had been as if to seal it.

“Should we call Zoey and Mira?” Suggested Jennie, finally revealing what she had been thinking about. Two pairs of eyes looked at her. “What? She must have them saved on her phone.”
Ara and Yi-seo exchanged a look, ruminating on Jennie's idea with different levels of interest.
“And tell them what?” Ara prodded sceptically.
Jennie shrugged, lifting her head up to look down at the other two. “Easy, it’s the International Idol Awards in three weeks, right? Why don’t we give them a little reunion?”
Yi-seo turned her head to look at the younger girl better, brows knitted in thought. “It’s been fifteen years without talking, Jennie, what are the odds of them wanting to meet after all this time?”
Jennie smirked. “Oh, no, no, no, you misunderstood. We’re not giving them an option.”

Across the room, Zoey was crouched in front of Rumi, mimicking some ridiculous dance move to make her laugh. And Rumi was laughing—a smile painted on because she knew how to keep up a brave face. Always.
“Bobby’s securing your exit and I’m shutting down what I can. Don’t move until he gets there. I’m already on a flight. I’ll meet you in an hour.”
