Lucina is shocked when the Shepherds find Morgan while exploring a long abandoned temple. She knows what she saw in the future. Morgan shouldn't be alive, and yet there she is, just as energetic as ever like nothing happened. As much as Lucina would love to take the miracle of her friends survival at face value, she just can't, and now she is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery.
(The game implies Morgan is from another timeline, and yet, in their sibling supports, their sibling definitely knows who Morgan is. Therefore, if the Morgan we know is not from Lucina's future, then something else must be going on. This is my take on just what that might be.)

Summary
In this world where the lands are split into four, ruled by their respective God or Goddess. Their duties as Gods is to protect what they call their following, the humans that choose which God they would follow. The Gods decided that one out of the many humans would be their personal escort, they would be allowed to live with their Gods as some sort of second figure. These escorts vary from generation, the gods had decided to make a brand to distinct the next escort when the previous had passed creating a line of escorts to company them throughout their eternal lives.
Even if the lands were split, the Gods still had their differences towards one another, after years of fighting and arguing the four had decided that they would form a friendship treaty for the sake of their following and that- blahblahblah this could go on and on but the real problem here is that—
Grima doesn't want to be a God anymore.
And so, he plans his great escape to the outside world and finds himself a freeloader in Naga's own home alongside a handsome prince that makes him feel things.

Traveling with the Shepherds, Lucina found, was not unlike the journeys she made with her own Shepherds. There were battles, skirmishes with the odd band of Risen, stories swapped and traded over a fire and meal (though the ones she had now were far from the ones she had then - the meat was rich and not stripped from decaying bone, the bread soft and freshly made, the water clean), and of course, accidents and adventures in between.
