A masterfully written, post-Promised Day fanfic that explores the futures of Olivier, Miles, and Fort Briggs's precarious relationship with Drachma. Everything in it is top notch from start to finish - and the military knowledge put into this story really made me appreciate Oliver in all her Lieutenant General glory. Also, Miles is a stellar assistant and should be promoted yesterday, lol. The ending is just perfect!

He can’t believe he’s even asking her this, but the alternative is worse. “An ‘I scratch your back, you scratch mine’ type of thing.”
“You’re saying that you want to spend your rut with me while I’m in heat,” Riza reiterates his proposal, her expression surprisingly neutral given the circumstances. "With no strings attached?"
Of course, he wants more than that. He wants a relationship. He wants Riza Hawkeye and everything she has to offer. But he’s not going to ask for that much, not when asking to spend her heat with her is already toeing such a dangerous line.
