Robin gently placing a bandaid on the skinned knee of young girl, spinning a dramatic tale to distract her from the pain. Jason standing in the parking lot of Gotham academy, rambling excitedly about The Great Gatsby to an amused Dick Grayson. Robin grinning over his shoulder at Tim as Tim raised his camera.
Gotham needed a Robin.
But Robin was dead.
Tim thought about Robin, cold and broken and still under Gotham’s soil. Robin, whose last moments had been pain and terror. Robin, calling for a father who would arrive too late. Robin, who would never fly again.
