Summary
Husk has spent years convincing himself it’s easier not to need anyone.
Angel has spent just as long believing that everyone eventually leaves—or worse, stays for the wrong reasons.
Somewhere between after-work drinks, bad movies, shared silences, and the kind of care neither of them knows how to ask for, they begin building something neither of them intended. Something fragile. Something worth protecting.
A slow-burn story about healing, found family, learning to stay, and discovering that sometimes rock bottom feels a little less lonely when someone is willing to sit beside you.

Summary
(Angel Dust ran out of things to say, so he ended up where he usually did this time of night: laying on the counter, watching Husk wipe the surface around him through half-closed eyelids. Right up to the point where the bartender flicked the wet towel on his face, urging him to move.
“Ugh, a please would’ve been nice,” he whined as he pulled himself up.
“You leavin’ at last call would have been nicer,” Husk answered, finishing up as he tossed the cloth over his shoulder.
“You like me here.” (Please like me here)
The other just grunted in response, turning away to organize the booze on the back shelves and possibly to choose something for himself as well. Angel smiled, leaning his elbows on the counter, resting his chin on the back of his hands. His other two arms remained crossed on his legs. He didn't get offended by the lack of answer, mostly because he wasn't in the mood of receiving a friendly insult with grace. Well, as friendly as Husk could get, but the spider learned how to read (into) his reactions over these last few months.)
Angel and Husk's friendship turns to something more delicate as they help eachother after hard days and even harder nights.
