Were worry not settling deep in his stomach, Cal might have found the memory amusing. Comforting, even. He had been here before. He had done this once. Padawans, Knights, and Masters lost their lightsabers sometimes. Others would wield two sabers, one in each hand. They would need to return to Ilum for another crystal to construct a new one. Unsual as it was, such a thing was not unheard of.
But he was different. The closed ramp to the Mantis, the only barrier between himself and what lay beyond, stood in front of him. It seemed an impossible bridge to cross. Who is to say a crystal will even choose the pathetic waste of he was now?

As it turns out, August and Simon did know each other before Simon bought alcohol for the initiation party. They had hooked up in secret on and off, but it all ended when Simon finally put a stop to it before they went too far, romantically or physically. Both parties have mutually sworn each other to secrecy, and Wilhelm and Sara have no idea. The only problem? August can't stop thinking about Simon. (This is Canon-divergent in my head, but could be made into an AU if writer prefers)
Note: in my au, Simon refused to get August the drinks.

Summary
Zuko was not a good shifter.
Azula could switch between her wolf and human skins between steps. Not Zuko, he needed several minutes before he even started the shift, and that was on a good day. If it had been Azula who Animal Control found in that alley, they would have walked away convinced that their eyes had played a trick on them. There had never been a dog there.
But Zuko's long transformation would have only revealed his kind to the world. Father may think he has no honor, but he wouldn't stoop so low as that. Even if that meant being dumped in animal shelter, trapped as much by the 24/7 security cameras as by the cage bars.
He had the worst luck.

"Come on guys!" Aang said as he lead his friends through the clamoring barks of the shelter. "I want to show you my favorite dog! He's a sweetheart."
Aang lead the pair to where a monstrous beast of a dog was growling with raspy barks loud enough to drown out the rest of the shelter. His bright white teeth contrasted against golden eyes and a bright red scar that stretched over the side of his face as he lunged against the cage door.

Summary
The world crashes into them first thing in the morning when there’s a non-optional request for a meeting with the court officials.
They insist on calling Wilhelm by his title, which puts him on edge to start. He gave up the title of Crown Prince, but he’s still a hereditary prince with a couple of dukedoms that stick to him because of his birth. Then the court slices him with that edge when Jan-Olof says, “We need to discuss how to handle Mr. Eriksson’s upcoming royal visit.”
Wilhelm’s hand goes tight on his knee. Simon sees his knuckles go white. Simon reaches over and puts his hand over Wilhelm’s, presses his fingers into Wilhelm’s knuckles, rubbing a small slow circle. “Oh?” Simon says.

Assumed dead after his banishment, Zuko takes up The Blue Spirit mask. No one has seen his face in three years, and he won't let them. It's safer this way, being alone. After a Fire Nation general hires him to bring in Hakoda for questioning, he fails the job miserably and ends up a captive of the Water Tribe. When Sokka is employed by Iroh to track down Zuko and find out if he is still alive, The Blue Spirit claims that Zuko is in fact dead, and in a fit of panic, that he was the one who killed him.

Summary
Wilhelm has been shipped off to England for university and he is not happy about it. That is, until he accidentally bumps into a fellow Swede. Of course, Wille tries to "accidentally" bump into Simon again. Luckily, the universe is on his side for once.
A university AU (with very little university) where nothing hurts and everything falls into place for two Swedish boys who just want to fall in love.

Summary
Erik dies but instead of the afterlife, he's given a choice. Go back or go on. Before he choses he gets to see what happens in the year after he died. If he choses to go back it will be before he dies and he can fix somethings or watch one second cousin more closely.
