"I … I don't get what I’m meant to do. I just throw my food into the fire and ... talk?" James, a son of Hermes asked -- Percy could recognise those blue eyes and elfish facial features anywhere.
Percy grinned, "Yeah, that's pretty much it."
James hesitated before looking down at his feet, "But ... Hermes has a lot of children more powerful and more popular than me. What would I even ask him for? It's not like he cares."
Maybe it was because Percy was reminded of that promise he wrangled from the gods at age sixteen, but one moment he was looking at the younger camper, and the next he was throwing some of his food into the fire and asking Poseidon for some Disneyland tickets very, very loudly.
But even though he wasn't quite sure how it happened, the small, shocked laugh that James let out made it worth it.
Or
Percy sees that some of the newer campers don't feel 100% comfortable with requesting stuff from their godly parents, so he decides to rectify that the only way he knows how -- dramatically.

Summary
Percy was seven the first time he woke screaming, the taste of blood in his mouth and the howling of hounds resounding throughout his head. His mom rushed into his room to cradle him in her arms. When she asked, he bit his tongue, told her only of dogs chasing after him. He didn’t tell her of the boy with the goat legs, the pain of being torn apart, and the warm light that engulfed him at the end. She held him until he fell back asleep. Elsewhere, a young daughter of Zeus made her final stand.
Percy was nine when he opened his eyes, phantom lightning crawling over his skin and the echoes of a woman’s last moments still ringing in his ears. If he closed his eyes, he could still see the twin onyx eyes staring back at him.
When his mother told him the story of his namesake, of Perseus the son of Zeus, he didn't tell her he already knew. Had already seen a mother and her infant set adrift in a raging storm, watched a boy travel far and slay monsters for the sake of his mother’s safety. But he didn’t tell her this. He was young, but he knew already what happened to people like him. People who see.
He was no prophet; he would not suffer their fate. He would bite his tongue and let the prophecies pass him by.

Summary
When Lucifer is asked by Charlie to heal Alastor from his angelic wound, he reluctantly agrees for his his babies sake. However, when dealing with the overlord, Lucifer discovers something that both shocks him and leaves him a bit more intrigued than he'd like to admit. Trying to win his deer over is proving to be more difficult than Lucifer thought, good thing he's the big boss of hell!
Or: Lucifer finds Alastor's secret(s) while trying to heal him, the result is an interest in the deer demon that said demon does not quite appreciate. Now Alastor gets the pleasure of dealing with something worse than an egotistical shrimp, he gets a simp with an endless supply of gifts, ducks, persistence and power.
