Summary
Pre-HTTYD1, Snotlout finds a mirror that lets him see into the future! Naturally, he shows this off to the other teens in his generation, Chief Stoick, and his right-hand-man Gobber. Unfortunately, Hiccup wasn't invited, though the more they see of the future, the more it's obvious that something changed in a big way, and Hiccup's future self is right in the middle of it.
OR: pre-HTTYD1 characters react to Race To The Edge episodes, but I gave Snotlout the remote (at least at first).

Summary
Snotlout waved his hands over the mirror. “Show me myself twenty years into the future!”
To the amazement of everyone gathered, the surface of the mirror rippled like it was made of water and a stone had been dropped into the center. When the ripples passed, a new image was left behind. Not the reflection of the roof of the Great Hall, like it had been before, but the side-view of a man who looked remarkably like Snotlout, but older.
“Holy yak dung, it worked!” Snotlout exclaimed, leaning further over the mirror. “It’s my future self! What is he doing?”
OR: 14-year-old Snotlout finds a magic mirror that shows the future. 34-year-old Snotlout is trying to balance two jobs he loves, raising his son, his long-distance relationship with his wife and daughter, and his closest friendships on Berk. Unfortunately, with the week-long Thawfest festival approaching fast, emotions are running high.

Shamrock's role within the Freedom Fighters was acting as something of a secretary for his dad, taking notes, keeping track of their schedule, that sort of thing. But because they went up against the government, his dad was always scared that someone would discover the link between them and target Shamrock to try and make his dad give up on his goals. Already, the local armies of the countries they led protests in sometimes shot at them.
Or: What if Dragon managed to save Shamrock at God Valley?

“That, or this is a desert island with no life, where we will all starve to death without any need to waste the lives of his own men,” Robin countered.
“So morbid!” Usopp shouted back, though his knees started to shake.

Summary
He picked it up and dusted it off. The front cover had a weird symbol on it, a golden pine tree with a silver star in the center of it. Sixer would have guessed it was a Christmas tree, except for where the star was placed.
He cracked open the book, and found his breath taken away. It was filled with sketches and writing, almost like what Grunkle Mason displayed at the Gallery, but not quite. At the Gallery, the paintings created intrigue by having magical creatures hidden in the background in some way. These sketches were more like portraits, with the weird and wonderful highlighted front and center, surrounded by notes that almost read as scientific.
AKA my take on the Relativity AU, in which Grunkle Mason runs the Gallery of Mystery, Sixer just wants to investigate Gravity Falls, and Stanley wants the epic summer romance of a lifetime!

“Uh, do you think they know we can hear them?” Grunkle Stan asked.
“Seeing as nobody warned either one, I doubt it,” their dad answered.
“Bill,” Ford greeted Bill tersely. The want to eavesdrop was insurmountable. Stan and everyone else in the living room fell silent.

“We weren’t exactly planning on telling you any of this,” Dipper started, and then immediately realized that was a horrible start. Just immediately admit to not trusting your parents and keeping wild secrets, Dipper! That definitely won’t cause any problems!
"Yeah," Mabel agreed, because she was the best. “But that was before Bill Cipher showed up at the front door.”
“Who is he?” their dad asked.
“He’s this triangle demon we killed this summer,” Mabel explained.
“I’m sorry, a what that you did what to?” their mom snapped.
“Like Mabel said, he’s a triangle demon. Uh, he’s normally a triangle? He’s a dream demon, he tried to kill us so we helped our Grunkles kill him,” Dipper elaborated.
“I don’t know why he’s human now,” Mabel wondered.
As one, the whole family leaned or turned so that they could see the chair with Bill (unconscious again) in it through the doorway.

When Batman tells a little girl about the tragedy that lead to him donning the cowl, a corrupt cop leaks the information to Joker. He decides to repeat the experiment, capturing the Thomas family and forcing Batman to watch as his own history is repeated. While Batman is quick and clever enough to save the Thomas couple from gunshot wounds, he isn't able to stop them from being poisoned by Joker Toxin. After such an intensely personal attack, twenty-two-year-old Bruce Wayne can't help but feel responsible for the kid left behind: eight-year-old Duke Thomas.
“You know I look at the police reports about Batman,” Duke starts, hesitantly meeting Bruce’s eyes.
“Yes?” Bruce prompts.
“People are scared,” Duke says.
Bruce gets a wrinkle between his eyebrows. “That’s the point, Duke. I want criminals to be scared of me. It’s why I chose to be a Bat, because that’s what scares me.”
“I think if I’m gonna work with you, I have to be the one to make it obvious that people can trust you. It’ll help that I’m a kid, I think. People just need a signal that help is on the way.”
