He jumps off the windowsill and walks around Dean in a circle, listing:
"Look. Since I'm a boy, I understand other boys better, that is, you," he bends one finger. "I'm your shooting partner, so I can put in a good word for you," bends the second one. "Your mom will like me, because moms tend to trust people like me, not all these girls around," bends the third one. "And I'm also an adult experienced man, and your Jeanne, one hundred percent, is still a virgin."

The next customer in line steps up. She’s a regular, an older red-haired woman who always gets a brownie and a flat white. Joey calls the coffee order back to Nico as usual. He’s taking a brownie from the glass-fronted display and setting it on a plate when he happens to glance over to the door just as it opens. That’s when the guy walks in.
He’s quite tall, and he’s got curly black hair and dark eyes and a suntan even though it’s March. When Joey looks at him he gets the warmest, deepest, most inexplicable feeling of oh, there you are.
He thinks, what took you so long?

Their love is her love; their hurt is her hurt. Their painful mutual pining, is her metaphorical facepalm and dangerously soaring frustration levels.
With all this in mind, there really isn’t much else more important to the health and safety of Atlantis as a whole - city and people, both - than to lock John Sheppard and Rodney McKay in a room together until they get the damn hint.
