Summary
He can’t stop it. Aang sees it happening, but there’s nothing he can do. He hadn’t even expected Zuko to be there, though maybe he should have, because Fire Lord Ozai is his father and he would want to keep his son safe during the eclipse - if they were anything like family should be.
But they aren’t, and it's not him that Ozai’s lightning strikes.
It's Zuko.
(aka, zuko joins the gaang during the eclipse)
discontinued, sorry.

Summary
He knew what this was.
He’d expected this, they all had to some degree, though none had predicted it would happen as soon as a week after. None of them had prepared for it, leaving Zuko alone. Defenseless, one could argue.
But Zuko hadn’t lived this long for no reason, had clawed his way out of ashes and blood to sit upon this cursed throne, and he would defend it with his life, if that was what it took.
Or
Zuko faces his first assassination attempt as Fire Lord.

Summary
In which Alastor realizes he committed a bit too hard to the whole found-family gag, gets fucked up by the First Douchebag, and tries to pretend everything is fine. Shockingly, Charlie is not oblivious. Even more shockingly, the person she goes to for help is Vox.
This turns out to be a case of using the wrong equation but still getting the correct answer.
(Also known as the one where Al & Vox used to bait angels, until they didn't.)

Summary
The car whines when Astarion accelerates, a thumping under his feet and center console. The dashboard rattles, teeth in a skeleton, even the steering wheel keening like a death knell. Every time he brakes, something screams. He can't smell smoke, but he can feel heat pouring from the vents, sweating through his nightclothes. There's a dial from hot to cold—he spins it and feels nothing change.
When he presses its gas, the car goes forward. When he brakes, it stops.
He keeps driving.
Astarion escapes Cazador with the clothes on his back, a wad of stolen cash, and a car that's sat abandoned in a garage for thirty years.
There's a metaphor in that, perhaps.
