"He's fine," I hold a sharp inhale of damp earth and mold then let it out in slow relief. It's cut short when he adds, "no thanks to you." Large lanterns line the dim stone floor giving the room and Gojo, a yellow glow. He is sprawled across two metal chairs, hands clasped behind his head as he stares up at the chandelier groupings of inked paper talismans.
"I was trying to help him, I didn't mean to hurt-" My words fail at his dry chuckle.
Gojo waves me off in a mirthless smirk to the cieling, "Oh no, no, no. You're so weak, you couldn't actually hurt anyone." Dark shapes on the textured floor dance in candle light but a single shadow grows in front of me when he reaches his arm up, pointing to the world above the murky, rock and charm encased cellar, "Your little alliance with Suguru Geto however," his wrist drops, he points to himself, "almost caused me a bit of trouble," he aims his finger at me, insouciance noticeably forced, "all because of that convenient ability you have to hide from me."
His arm falls to dangle at his side, "This whole time, you've been feigning Normie, why?" he lulls his head until I am met with bandaged eyes, "and let's try the truth this time, yeah?"
